A warm welcome to BELLE, a darling little 2-3 year old female border collie. BELLE is an easy to care for smooth coat, red and white BC weighing 33 lbs. She is a happy girl who came to us with a hip dislocation (not dysplasia, but an acute injury), which has been sorted with surgery. We are happy to report BELLE has bounced back like a balloon and is now ready to find her forever home. BELLE is VERY loving and affectionate. She adores being petted and receiving tummy tickles. She gets along well with all her pack mates and has not been food or toy aggressive. BELLE has been a bit too cat curious and home with no kitties, or at least one with dog savvy cats, is required.

BELLE has been an outstanding house guest. Her favorite spot can be seen in photo above, squared away on the orange (not the red one!) dog pillow. She’ll often have a deer antler held between in her paws and settle in for a bit of a nosh. While she likes her deer antlers, she has not chewed any inappropriate household items, inside or out, nor has she dug in the garden. We can’t recall her barking for that matter. She crates easily where she rests quietly overnight or when we leave the house for a few hours during the day. She’s had a couple of potty accidents in the house during her recovery (though politely in the bath room, thanks for the easy clean up BELLE!); routinely however she potties outside right away when taken outdoors.

BELLE is ready for more fun. She has her rucksack packed and is eager to start her new life at her forever home. We expect BELLE to do well as an only dog or being part of a pack. She’ll love the singular attention, or as has been the case here, will do well with a buddy or two. . She cannot wait to see your car turn into the drive to collect her!

BELLE is micro-chipped, spayed, heart worm negative and on preventative, and up to date on vaccinations. If you have an approved Northern California Border Collie Rescue & Adoptions Application and wish to enquire about BELLE please email us at If you have an approved adoption application with Border Collie Rescue of Northern California let us know and we will request it be forwarded to us for consideration. BELLE is being fostered in Auburn in Placer County, California.
