Let me introduce myself . . . I’m BELLE! My foster mom tells me I am the beauty I am named for, with a soft brown and white smooth coat. I am on the smaller side for a border collie, and weigh about 34 pounds and I am three years old. I love to be petted and would climb in your lap if that is okay with you. I am gentle and sweet and really want to be to be a loyal member of the pack, to love and be loved. Right now I am feeling a little needy, but as my confidence grows, I do better. I have nice manners, I do my best to not jump up you and I seem to be pretty good on a leash, I know “sit” and recall when you call me BELLE. I crate nicely with a little encouragement, I sleep thru the night in my crate and I don’t mind going in there when you have to leave me for a while. If I get to go with you in the car – that’s great because I ride well in my car crate and don’t get carsick!
I display some passive behavior as I am a “soft” dog and gentle corrections are all I need. With continued love and clear direction, I will to continue to blossom into the smart, happy dog I am. I get along great with foster family’s little dog and don’t chase the chickens. There are no cats here, but I have been known to sometimes chase cats in the past (but I’m convinced they wanted me to!). I will alert you if I hear someone or something outside, but really I am a very quiet girl. I’m pretty good at meeting new people and I would love to meet you!
BELLE is micro-chipped, spayed, heart worm negative and on preventative, and up to date on vaccinations.
