Meet BRODY! This sweet 8-year young boy has been nothing short of a gentleman in his foster home. BRODY loves to be with his people, whether it's on the couch watching TV, going for nice long walks, or just hanging out in the yard. Don't let his age fool you, BRODY has a lot of get up and go, especially if it involves a car ride with the promise of a hike! A wonderful walking partner, BRODY has the stamina of a young dog, without all the puppy shenanigans. Watch a YouTube video of BRODY at play!
BRODY is learning to walk better on a leash, he doesn't seem to have had any training before he came into rescue, but he is eager to make his foster mom happy, particularly if there's treats involved! BRODY bonds with one person well, so he would be suited for either a single owner or perhaps even a retired couple just wanting some companionship around the house, as long as he has a nice safe yard to trot around in.
BRODY is friendly upon meeting new people, but isn't fond of little hands grabbing his face or hanging on him, so a home without small children is best. BRODY ignores the kitties in his foster home, barely giving them a passing glance, so a cat friendly home should be an easy adjustment for him. He also gets along fine with his foster brother and sisters, so other dogs would be just fine, although he would also be happy being an only dog as long as he gets plenty of time and attention from his owner. One thing BRODY must have in his new foster home is a nice big ball to play with, he loves playing with his soccer ball here, pushing it around with his nose and playing with it. It's so silly and endearing! He also enjoys chew bones, especially the ones with the yummy filling in them.
BRODY is crate trained and relaxes quietly in it while his mom is at work. He also goes in readily for meal times and sleeps quietly all night. Having no training and only recently being neutered, he is still learning about house training, but is getting the hang of it quickly, with nothing more than an occasional marking incident, but stops immediately with a correction.
BRODY is micro-chipped, neutered, heart worm negative and on preventative, and up to date on vaccinations.
