COPPER is a stunning 8-year-old border collie that is both active, yet content to spend time following his foster dad around the farm while he does chores, or stretch out in the sun when his foster mom & dad read the paper on the back patio. He loves to ride along in the car for errands to town, meeting people in the shops and offices he visits. Everyone comments on what a lovely boy he is!
COPPER is a dog that bonds strongly with his person. While he likes his foster mom and the people he meets out & about, he REALLY likes his foster dad and chooses to spend his time & attention with him. He will love having a person to call his own again, as he is a devoted companion. COPPER has had some training in his previous life; he knows "sit," "down," & "shake," & he walks nicely on a leash. He has nice manners in the house, and is housebroken & crate-trained. Because COPPER is a bit independent and chooses whether to respond to the request to come when called, he will need to exercise & play in a securely fenced area. He does, however, check in with his person from time to time! And because he is bossy and too keen with other dogs & cats, COPPER needs to be the only pet in his new home.
COPPER is micro-chipped, neutered, heart worm negative and on preventative, and up to date on vaccinations. COPPER is being fostered north of Sacramento, California.
