DUFF is a 10-month old, 50-pound smooth coat boy that is ready to find his forever family. DUFF’s mannerisms are still very puppyish – he loves to play with his pack sister, climb in your lap, weave through your legs (feels good!), chew on an antler, play with a squeaky Kong, and run (sometimes in combos of the above). Check out this YouTube video!
DUFF is learning how to sit and is very food motivated, making him easy to train. He is housebroken and likes to ride in the car. DUFF is cat-curious but does not give chase (although squirrels are a different matter!). DUFF has a big bark and an exuberant spirit. In the video, you’ll see his Border Collie traits as he starts circling the pack and herding. We recommend an owner with prior BC experience to help DUFF be the best dog he can be. Regular socialization, training and exercise will create a very happy boy. When in the house DUFF likes to be next to you to get and give lots of love and kisses. He sleeps in his crate at night although, if he could, he would be on the bed with you. You will find DUFF a most loyal friend and partner.
DUFF is micro-chipped, neutered, heart worm negative and on preventative, and up to date on vaccinations. If you have an approved Northern California Border Collie Rescue & Adoptions Application and wish to enquire about DUFF please email us at Adoptions@norcalbcrescue.org. If you have an approved adoption application with Border Collie Rescue of Northern California let us know and we will request it be forwarded to us for consideration. DUFF is being fostered in Granite Bay in Placer County, California.
