Tally has been re-homed, if interested in Quinn, please email  lorinlurz@gmail.com

Tally and Quinn are 5 year old sisters with a mix of Hanging Tree Cow dog & Queensland with black and white markings. We found them in the north bay SF area as puppies after a long search. The father was red merle Queensland and the mother was the Hanging Tree Cow dog who had the black long body of a border collie but different markings. These girls have both of these traits. Unlike some cattle dogs they are not high energy and are not shy.  They are not nervous and do not pace like some herding breeds. At 5 years old they have reached that mellow lifestyle. They are very people friendly, leash trained with both collar and body halters, and understand basic commands. Have been raised with children who they are great with. They love the trampoline!

They were trained to bark only when someone came to the front door. Otherwise, no barking allowed in the house or backyard unless there is a stranger or large bird. They patrol our property during the day and are accustomed to sleeping inside the porch at night. They love to be in the house during family time and would like to be petted or stroked. Both love car rides and squeaky toys. Only one will chase a ball. They've been camping and will run on the beach. They don't jump on people and wont bark if alone for hours. They have a kennel/run outside  that we use if there are workmen or friends in the yard who might leave a gate open. Otherwise, they are free in the 1 acre yard all day. They are not crate trained. Quinn is "cautious" and far more polite than her sister. She is extremely patient. Tally is gregarious and wants lots of attention. She does excellent in watching for commands and signals. She loves to swim in the local pond. Both have had obedience classes. We've had them evaluated at the local shelter where they showed they were not aggressive. Quinn showed signs of being prey driven when she saw a squirrel. We use the body harness for walks which helps with competitive walking. They have  stayed in a boarding kennel if we have traveled.

They've been raised around goats, chickens and an indoor/outdoor cat. They are allowed to chase ground squirrels, rats and hawks. Unfortunately, they recently thought the neighbor's Yorkie dog was one of those. With our family dynamics changed (1 child has gone to college the other is going to school and working. I am no longer a stay-at-home Mom) We cannot give the dogs the attention they need. They are current on all shots and flea treatment. We have all paperwork for vet care and shots. Of course, they are spayed and micro chipped. We have a re-homing fee that includes their beds, bowls, halters and leashes.  Our hope is for the two of them to to be re-homed together but if there is an interest to split them, we can talk about that. Please contact us for location and more information, please email
