MONA (aka Ramona) is a very young momma dog who has done a fantastic job raising her puppies. MONA is now ready to begin her own life, separate from her puppies. MONA had her pups when she was under a year old. She is now about a year old and is spayed. MONA is a medium sized dog, weighing about 30 pounds with short, black, easy-to-groom coat with a white chest and foot markings. Oh yes, let us not forget, the cutest fringe around her lower jaw!

MONA is a total love and lives to interact with her people. MONA plays well with the other dogs in the household & could care less about the other critters around the place (alpacas, tortoises, sheep goats, potbelly pigs and fowl). She keeps an eye on the barn cats, but the house cat is totally ok with her. Her foster mom has not seen MONA actually play with toys yet, but this is mainly because the puppies take the toys away from her!

MONA is an easy-to-live-with dog. She is house-trained in knowing how to use the doggie door. She loves to sleep on the bed at night, but she's also knows to sleep in a crate at night, which she did when the pups were younger. She is an easy-going and non-demanding dog who would be willing to do whatever you want; take a walk, go for a run or hike, or have a Netflix day and just lay about on the couch. MONA travels well in the car and is learning to load up and to wait when exiting the car. She is also getting good at not going out a gate until called through.

MONA is micro-chipped, spayed, heart worm negative and on preventative, and up to date on vaccinations. If you have an approved Northern California Border Collie Rescue & Adoptions Application and wish to enquire about MONA please email us at Adoptions@norcalbcrescue.org. If you have an approved adoption application with Border Collie Rescue of Northern California let us know and we will request it be forwarded to us for consideration. MONA is being fostered in fostered in Live Oak in Sutter County, California.
