Hi, my name is NEWTON.  My foster family says I am a senior, but I'm not even the oldest dog in the house, so I don't really know what that means. My foster dad says I'm distinguished, but my foster mom says I am homely, goofy and she doesn't know what heck kind of dog I am.  I don't know what that means either. I just want to play ball. I want to play ball in the morning. I want to play ball all day. I want to play ball before I go to bed. Do you want to play ball with me? Oh wait . . . breakfast and dinner and pretty important to me too. Oh! and chasing birds. I like to chase birds when no one wants to play ball. Sometimes I chase the cats too. I caught one once. My foster mom was not happy with me. Sometimes no one wants to play ball with me and I will go lay down and mope. I love attention and affection, but my foster parents say I am a wiggle worm. I can't help it. It feels so good to get an ear and belly rub, and I can't get close enough to my people, but I sure do try really hard. My foster mom tries to get me to settle down when she pets me, but I can't!!! I just can't! So she usually gives up after I crawl in her lap and continue to wiggle a little closer. Maybe if we went out and played ball some more I would settle down, but I doubt it. I do settle down nicely when it's time to go to bed. I am potty trained and crate trained. Did I mention I like to play ball?

NEWTON is a Senior boy who acts like a pup. If you could spend some time with him, you just might fall in love with his personality. He is always ready to play. He simply cannot hold still if you start petting him. He has adjusted to all kinds of dogs over the time he has been with us. Sometimes it can take a couple of days for him to adjust, but he always does. He is very food motivated and knows some basic commands.

NEWTON is micro-chipped, neutered, heart worm negative and on preventative, and up to date on vaccinations. If you have an approved Northern California Border Collie Rescue & Adoptions Adoption Application and wish to enquire about NEWTON, please email us at Adoptions@norcalbcrescue.org. If you have an approved adoption application with Border Collie Rescue of Northern California let us know and we will request it be forwarded to us for consideration. NEWTON is being fostered in Corning in Tehama County, California.
