Friends of Rescue

Northern California Border Collie Rescue & Adoptions wish to express our gratitude and appreciation to the many fine businesses, organizations and individuals who help us in our rescue efforts. This assistance comes in a variety of forms, including monetary donations, discounts on veterinary services and medications, as well as feed & supplies. It also comes from use of facilities, both for housing of dogs and fund raising events. We encourage everyone to patronize the following businesses and organizations.

We also wish to give thanks to our many volunteers for their day-to-day efforts. These are the people that transport the dogs throughout Northern California and log countless hours caring for (and cleaning up after) all the dogs that come through rescue. Well done and thank you!

NCBCRA celebrated its 1st Anniversary in March 2015. Through the hard work of our dedicated volunteer rescue force, the generosity of many donors, the support of our sister rescue Border Collie Rescue of Northern California and of course all of the lucky new dog owners, we’re proud to announce we’ve placed over 170 dogs into new homes in this first year.

One such recent contributor to NCBCRA has been a talented young artist, Rachel Love, who has provided us with a gorgeous new painting for our logo and future use on promotional material. The logo size, as seen above, simply doesn’t do her work justice, but perhaps this enlargement will provide some insight into her talents.

Rachel is a border collie owner herself. Her dog Mara and her other work is featured at her website DragonsFlameMagic and at her Zazzle site where you can purchase products and gifts. The artwork above was created from just a couple of low resolution photos. If you’ve ever wanted to have nice artwork created of your border collie, please email Rae at RaeLove1986@gmail.com

Many, many thanks to Yuba City feed and pet supply store Pawformance & their patrons for holding a Sees Candy fundraiser this past holiday season to benefit NCBCRA.

Please shop Pawformance and the many other merchants and service providers on our Friends of Rescue webpage who provide rescue with their support throughout the year. Thank you all!
