SAMOA • Male •  8 months to 1 year • Adopted!  Please return to
the Home page to start your search for available dogs!  Thank you!

This is SAMOA, a smart, young (8-12 months) high energy dog with beautiful markings and a happy personality. SAMOA loves to run and play, is very friendly with people, and can settle down nicely in his crate for naps and chew sessions with a deer antler. He welcomes hugs and pets, and loves a good conversation (even though he may not understand what is being said!)

Being a young dog, SAMOA needs an experienced BC family to help him be the best dog he can be. With his high energy level, SAMOA needs lots of exercise and some training basics, such as consistent recall, and is very interested in other fun animals like ducks and cats.  He is praise-motivated and knows a few basic commands. SAMOA is looking for a home where he can be guided and mentored, kept intellectually and physically busy, and (of course) loved! If you are in the Sacramento area, we can provide a few sessions with Susan at Animal Minds to start you off on your new relationship. SAMOA is crate trained, house broken, and gets along well with his foster pack mates, often convincing them to run and play in the yard.  He is treat-motivated and loves squeaky toys and chew toys.

SAMOA is micro-chipped, neutered, heart worm negative and on preventative, and up to date on vaccinations. If you have an approved Northern California Border Collie Rescue & Adoptions Application and wish to enquire about SAMOA please email us at Adoptions@norcalbcrescue.org. If you have an approved adoption application with Border Collie Rescue of Northern California let us know and we will request it be forwarded to us for consideration. SAMOA is being fostered in Granite Bay in Placer County, California.
