SARGENT PEPPER (aka SARGE) is a 5-month-old superstar! He loves everyone he meets, two-legged & four-legged--canine & feline. He has boundless confidence & isn't shy about anything: noise, new experiences, the vet. He takes them all in stride. Did we mention that he is smart as a whip? He learned to sit in a couple of minutes, & he took to his crate for sleeping & eating almost as quickly. He loves treats & toys, especially tug toys & will tug with human & dogs friends alike. He will certainly not weigh more than 25 pounds when he's full-grown, so if you're looking for a sweet, confident, social, utterly trainable dog to jump 19" in agility, SARGE just might be your new best friend. SARGE needs to be kept busy, so he is looking for a home in which someone is with him most of the time & a home in which he gets to learn lots of new things & have outlet for his smarts. Otherwise, he will get bored & he might--well, will--do things like chew & "retrieve" stuff a puppy shouldn't. SARGE is good about sleeping in his crate. He knows how to use the doggy door, & is almost 100% housebroken.

SARGE is started on his puppy vaccines, wormed, and microchipped. As a condition of puppy adoption, he will need to be altered by his new owner when he reaches approximately 6 months (specific time to be determined by your vet). In addition to the adoption fee, puppy adoption requires a $100 spay/neuter deposit. Upon our receiving the spay/neuter certificate from you, the deposit is refunded.

SARGE is being fostered in Live Oak in Sutter County, California.
