Bright and beautiful, that’s our SCARLETT! SCARLETT is a 1-½ year old, 40 pound red/brown and white smooth coat girl who is ready to find her forever family. SCARLETT is a gentle, soulful girl. She is still very puppy-like; she is curious of her surroundings, loves to romp, roll, run, jump over objects, chew on a hoof, play tug, etc. She is learning to play with other dogs.

SCARLETT is very intelligent. She is learning how to sit and stay, stay down and come when called. She is food motivated, providing a path making her easy to train. SCARLETT is housebroken and loves to walk on the lead. She loves to chase squirrels and is still trying to figure out cats.

SCARLETT loves people. At night, she will lay by your lap, if not in it! She is very sweet, affectionate and loves to give kisses. SCARLETT sleeps in her crate at night, though, if given the opportunity she would gladly sleep on the bed with you. Regular socializing, training, and exercise makes SCARLETT a happy girl. She is true to her herding instincts as a border collie and  cattle dog. Recommended is an owner with prior BC experience to help SCARLETT be the best dog she can be. You will find SCARLETT a most loyal friend and buddy.

SCARLETT is micro-chipped, spayed, heart worm negative and on preventative, and up to date on vaccinations. If you have an approved Northern California Border Collie Rescue & Adoptions Application and wish to enquire about SCARLETT please email us at Adoptions@norcalbcrescue.org. If you have an approved adoption application with Border Collie Rescue of Northern California let us know and we will request it be forwarded to us for consideration. SCARLETT is being fostered in Rancho Cordova in Sacramento County, California.
