SEDONA is beautiful gal with an easy to maintain blue merle (some call it ticked) medium coat. She is house and crate trained, is good with all of our dogs (5 male and female) and has shown no interest in the cats. SEDONA has never chewed anything she is not supposed to chew, so she is free day and night, even when we leave the house. She is an energetic gal who loves to go out, run around with the other dogs for a while then flop down and just hang out. She got used to the doggy door rather quickly so she can go out or come in whenever she likes.

SEDONA will need TLC and patience to become the best dog she can be. She is a loner, and even now, after almost two months, prefers a little distance (just a few feet) away from us. She is not interested in being petted or in cuddling. She’ll respond to a whistle or a call but won’t necessarily come in. Things are improving, as she now knows she’ll receive a treat when she does come inside. It also helps if she is following Newt or one of the other dogs. (Newt is also available for adoption and pictured with Sedona below.) We feel SEDONA would do best in a home with another seasoned dog (or dogs) to show her the ropes and be her playmate. She would also benefit from someone experienced with dogs that need more socialization. She shows a little bit of interest in toys (will chew bones) and will grab a tennis ball and run around with it. But mostly she just chases Newt when he chases the ball.

SEDONA is micro-chipped, spayed, heart worm negative and on preventative, and up to date on vaccinations. If you have an approved Northern California Border Collie Rescue & Adoptions Application and wish to enquire about SEDONA please email us at Adoptions@norcalbcrescue.org. If you have an approved adoption application with Border Collie Rescue of Northern California let us know and we will request it be forwarded to us for consideration. SEDONA is being fostered outside of Corning in Tehama County, California.
