A warm welcome to our STELLA! She is a sweetheart who plays with her pack mates, settles nicely near mom at quiet times, alerts us to strangers passing by and wiggles on her back in the grass! She appears to be a mix of herding breeds with some BC, perhaps some cattle dog and maybe some Corgi?? Whatever the mix, she’s adorable! She loves car rides, walks easy on leash, and crates quietly overnight. She is highly respectful of PuckleCat, essentially ignoring her. 🐱
At about 45 pounds and just 2 1/2 years, STELLA has lived an interesting life. She came into rescue about 1-½ years ago with five puppies under her arm. STELLA was great mom and after the puppies found their forever homes, STELLA was up for adoption herself when her foster mom decided to keep her! (Like that’s never happened before snickers our five adopted BC’s!) Long story short, STELLA’s mom has recently had to move back East to care for a relative and was unable to take her entire pack. As we have known STELLA for some time and are very fond of her, we readily volunteered to foster her and help find her a new home.
STELLA is housebroken and has been a very good house guest. She only chews the Kong's or deer antlers given to her and is not a digger. Her barking is limited to alarm barking and is even then readily called off. With her short and smooth easy care coat she keeps cool by stepping into the baby pool. She is a great swimmer and loves to go on outings up to the pond. With her rucksack packed and stashed by the door, STELLA is ready to find her final forever home, which she so deserves.
STELLA is micro-chipped, spayed, heart worm negative and on preventative, and up to date on vaccinations. If you have an approved Northern California Border Collie Rescue & Adoptions Application and wish to enquire about STELLA please email us at Adoptions@norcalbcrescue.org. If you have an approved adoption application with Border Collie Rescue of Northern California let us know and we will request it be forwarded to us for consideration. STELLA is being fostered in Auburn in Placer County, California.
