Thanksgiving Cornucopia of Puppies • 14 weeks

The Thanksgiving Cornucopia of Puppies remind us of how thankful we are that border collie dogs & pups come into our rescue, enjoying their time with us before they go to their forever homes with you. These darlings came from a working ranch home. They love to play & roughhouse & then they love nothing more than to curl up in a big pile of puppies to sleep or grab some one on one time with foster mom. These pugs love their toys, tugging & fetching with soft toys & playing keep-away from their mates with their chew bones. Their love of toys will serve as good motivation as they embark on their training. Because the pups come from working parents & are a combination of border collie/McNab/Australian cattle dog, we'd like to see them go to homes that have experience with herding breed dogs & that have plans for how they are going to train & provide appropriate stimulation for smart herding breed dogs. These pups are read are ready to go to their forever homes & begin the journey of becoming the best dogs they can be. We expect they will be medium-sized when they are adults.

The THANKSGIVING CORNUCOPIA PUPPIES are all started on their puppy vaccines, wormed, and microchipped. As a condition of puppy adoption, each will need to be altered by his or her new owner when he or she reaches approximately 6 months (specific time to be determined by your vet). In addition to the adoption fee, puppy adoption requires a $100 spay/neuter deposit. Upon our receiving the spay/neuter certificate from you, the deposit is refunded. If you have an approved Northern California Border Collie Rescue & Adoptions Application and wish to enquire about THANKSGIVING CORNUCOPIA PUPPIES please email us at Adoptions@norcalbcrescue.org. If you have an approved adoption application with Border Collie Rescue of Northern California let us know and we will request it be forwarded to us for consideration.

SALAD (aka SAL) is a very thoughtful & observant 14-week-old border collie/McNab/cattle dog mix boy. He is eager to learn & can watch the adult dogs & then eagerly repeat what they have shown him. He learned how to go through the agility tunnel just by watching the big dogs race through. Any toy is his favorite. SAL collects them & brings them to bed with him. But he is also motivated by small treats & tug toys for training. SAL is the most thoughtful puppy in the group.

SAL loves to be with his people for play or for quiet time. He is a great cuddler at nap time. SAL sleeps in an x-pen at night with his siblings, but he goes into his crate on his own for all of his meals. He is making good progress at using the newspaper in his puppy pen for pottying, & he has already learned to go in & out of the doggy door, so he is on his way to being house-trained. SAL is being fostered in Live Oak in Sutter County, California

Zinfandel (aka ZIN) is an easy-to-groom 14-week-old smooth-coated border collie/McNab/maybe a little cattle dog mix boy.  His ears will probably stand up, but right now they are undecided, & we think they are adorable. ZIN loves toys that squeak or crackle, & one of his favorites is a used water bottle.  He also likes to chew on soup bones or any good sticks he finds in the yard.  He gives great kisses & likes to tug gently on his foster mom’s hair to show her that he loves her.  ZIN is a great partner on walks & short hikes with his foster mom & the adult dogs in his foster home.
