TRIXIE is a petite 4-year-old border collie/Australian Cattle Dog mix. She is such a sweet girl, seeking affection & attention. Sometimes, she gets a little overly excited & jumps up, but she quickly stops when asked to. She loves to follow her foster mom around the house & property, but will also go off on her own to explore. She has excellent house manners & is crate-trained & housebroken.

TRIXIE is playful & like most herding dogs enjoys chasing things that move: toys, cats, & squirrels to name a few. And while she loves going after a toy, she doesn't yet know what to do with it. This is easily something she can learn. She is a little too keen about cats to live safely with one. TRIXIE is friendly, but can be a bit pushy with the female dogs in her foster home.  That said, she happily shares space & attention with the male dogs in her foster home. Mostly, she ignores them. She focuses her love on her people. She enjoys going for walks on leash & is learning to walk closely with her foster mom; this is still a work in progress. That said, she is not a serious leash-puller. She is very treat-motivated, & responds well to treats in training. TRIXIE also likes to load up into her crate in the car & to go for car rides to some place fun with her foster mom. She doesn't get carsick.

TRIXIE is micro-chipped, spayed, heart worm negative and on preventative, and up to date on vaccinations. TRIXIE is being fostered north of Sacramento, California.
