Meet Lucas! He is a one year old Great Pyrenees / Border collie mix. He weighs about 90 pounds, is neutered, and up to date on shots. He takes Simparica Trio. He attended PETCO doggie training with his owner and has the certificate to prove it!

Lucas was bought on Craig’s List during COVID when his owner was home. But for the last 6 months he has been left outside alone from 5 AM to 6 PM with no dog bed. His owner realized she was not doing right by him and a friend of mine reached out to me. I agreed to foster him when my teacher winter break started and look for a forever home for him.

Lucas loves to sleep on his back in bed with you! The couch is his second favorite place to be. He still isn’t much for a dog bed sleeper. He is housebroken and loves car rides. He could use some training in terms of jumping up on people and is pretty good on a leash! Sock and shoe stealing, with a game of keep-away to follow is a favorite pastime. KISSES are his serious specialty.

Lucas loves other dogs; he gets along famously with my German shepherd, pittie, and lab. He likes cats too!

The best home for Lucas would be one where he has LOTS of attention, either from people or other doggos. He still doesn’t like to be alone. Someone who works from home would be ideal. He’s not a barker unless Amazon or the mailman are at the door 🙂.
