Lucy is a two year old spayed female Border Collie/Golden Retriever cross. She is well behaved and has wonderful house manners.
She is afraid of new faces at first but warms up in a short while. She will need a home where people are aware of this and are willing to work with her. NGRR will cover the cost of some training.
Because of this fear, busy places and dog parks are too overwhelming for her. A somewhat rural setting with walks in less crowded areas would be best.
Lucy loves to play and cuddle. She is very good in the house and does not get into things, although she should not live with cats or birds. She is clever and a quick learner. She might enjoy a sport like agility, rally or herding. She will make a loving companion for someone who is looking for that slightly mellower version of a Border Collie or a smaller, more vibrant (painted) Golden.
