Say hello to high flying JOEY! He is a 2 year old medium coat boy who loves the Frisbee and ball above all. He will play ball or leap in the air for the Frisbee until you say it’s time for a break, then he will settle down happily at your feet. JOEY also loves his people and follows his foster mom around the house adoringly. He loves to cuddle and will be your BFF!
JOEY gets along well with all dogs and even cats, unless the cats run, then he thinks its playtime. He is not aggressive towards the cats, but he will chase if they run so they would need to be dog savvy cats. JOEY does like to rough house with other dogs who are also playful, but he will respect the older dogs who don’t want to play most of the time. He would do well in a home with other dogs but they would need to be OK with his playfulness and energy.
JOEY had a few accidents in the house when he first came into foster but is now fully potty trained after just a few days. He needed to learn how to live in the house but he caught on quickly! JOEY is hesitant to get in the car, but once in, he rides well. He is working on his leash training and does best on a halter. Once he gets some energy out, he walks well. He will need some basic training. He is very food motivated. JOEY sleeps quietly in his crate at night and does fine when left alone for a few hours during the day.
JOEY is a high energy boy who needs daily exercise and lots of ball or Frisbee play time. He is very athletic and would do well with someone who is looking for an elite Frisbee/ball athlete! Overall JOEY is a sweet as can be and will make a wonderful companion for some lucky person.
JOEY is micro-chipped, neutered, heart worm negative and on preventative, and up to date on vaccinations.
