Meet JASPER, a sweet boy from Colusa County that was fostered by the UC Davis Veterinary School. At 35 pounds, JASPER is a medium-sized dog, estimated to be 5 years old or more. He has a semi-rough coat, a long tail with a bit of white on the end, and classic white markings on the face.
JASPER is a shy boy, but also a dog that wants to be with you. He prefers to be at your feet, snuggled up. Over time, he will gain confidence as he recognizes that he is safe, and that his family is there always to protect him. Fear triggers are brooms, loud noises, or anything in the hand that he thinks might be thrown. His foster family thinks that a quiet environment with not too much excitement will be best for JASPER.
JASPER gets along well with his foster BC pack and loves to play ‘catch me if you can’ in the yard with buddy Finn. With a variety of BC personalities in his foster family, JASPER gets along with everyone, and is an easy dog to have around.
JASPER travels well, sleeps in his crate all night.
