ADOPTED – ALL HAVE FOREVER HOMES –
THE SPRING FLING PUPS are such a sweet group of puppies that are sure to steal your heart. Even the spunkiest & most adventurous of the puppies is super sweet. Born May 22, 2023, the pups are 9 weeks old & are ready to go to their forever homes. All of the puppies are “border collie” energetic & smart, so be prepared with games, training opportunities, or dog sports for these dearies; a few really like to play in water and all love toys. If you give them what they need to work their little brains & bodies, they all have an “off switch” & will be happy snuggling, or hanging out with you—some more than others, so ask lots of questions about the puppy you want to bring home. The puppies live with other dogs in their foster home, so they are well-socialized to dogs. They have had lots of visitors in their foster home, & they have been charming to one & all. They don’t yet have a firm grasp of housebreaking, as they’re all still together, providing each other with plenty of distractions. As smart as they are, that should come together once they have one-on-one, consistent direction from you. They eat their meals in their crates & have ridden in a large crate together for the ride to their foster home & to the vet without getting carsick. The SPRING FLING litter is being fostered Granite Bay, Placer County, CA.
NOTE: Three of them are hard to tell apart so we have included some non standard photos to help you ID them in the long video
(ADOPTED) ASH (Male) is 9.6 pounds and is a good-looking dude, but one who is not too cool for mischief & fun. Adventurous, curious, confident, & with lots of energy, Ash can go from focused & on-the-job to goofball in the blink of an eye. He will be a blast to train, using toys & treats & through the wonderful bond he’ll form with his person, & after training or lots of play, he will love to snuggle. Because he is smart & high energy, he will need things to do to stimulate him mentally as well as physically to help him be the best boy he can be. He might enjoy dog sports like agility, or canine scent work (aka nose work). He will want to be with you, doing things together that you will both enjoy. Ash will be willing to do whatever you ask him to do & then snuggle with you afterward. (He is really snuggly!) And like his sisters, he has an off switch.
(ADOPTED) POPPY (Female) is 9 pounds and oh so sweet. This gorgeous girlie can stand up to her siblings with spunk & energy, but prefers a quiet cuddle. A fast learner, Poppy will love to learn new things that will make her think as well as play & exercise. She might enjoy dog sports like agility, or canine scentwork (aka nosework). She will want to be with you, doing things together that you will both enjoy. She connects beautifully with people, but she can also play with toys on her own. She will be willing to do whatever you ask her to do & then snuggle with you afterward.
(ADOPTED) DOUG(LAS FIR) – ADOPTED –(Male) is the largest of the pups at 11 pounds, and is a package of adorable with his off-center blaze & rough coat. He is energetic & loves to wrestle with his siblings, but he can also settle nicely. Doug is playful with people and loves his toys! This boy will want to be with you, doing things together that you will both enjoy. He is fast learner & is treat & people-motivated. He is also a snuggler, & wiggle-bunny. Doug will love to train & learn new things that will make him think as much if not more than simply playing or exercising. He might enjoy dog sports like agility, or canine scent work (aka nose work). Doug will be willing to do whatever you ask him to do & then snuggle with you afterward.
(ADOPTED) STAR (Female) is 9.2 pounds and a gorgeous black & white with the sweetest expressions. You can certainly tell when she alerts to something! Her coat is a soft, medium-length that will be easy to care for. This girl loves toys of all kinds, but especially ones that make noise. Like her sisters, Star will love to train & learn new things that will make her think as much if not more than simply playing or exercising. She might enjoy dog sports like agility, or canine scent work (aka nose work). She will not be content to sit on the sidelines, waiting for you to have time to do things with her. She will want to be with you, doing things together that you will both enjoy. Star will be willing to do whatever you ask her to do & then snuggle with you afterward.
(ADOPTED) CEDAR (Male) is 10.6 pounds with a lovely coat & the dearest expression. His eyes when he looks at you are the eyes of an old soul, as if he’s taking you right into his heart. Cedar is playful & energetic, but not over the top, & he settles nicely. He often watches for a few moments before joining in whatever is going on. He simply likes to check things out. Cedar likes to play with people most & he’s also happy to play with toys of his own. Cedar will want to be with you, doing things together that you will both enjoy. And because he is thoughtful & affectionate, he will bond easily. If you’re looking for a lovely, smart border collie boy, who is not over the top, but who will be willing to do whatever you ask him to do & then snuggle with you afterward, Cedar may be your new best friend.
(ADOPTED) BEE – ADOPTED (Female) is the smallest of the litter at 8 pounds. Bee loves to adventure, but like her sister, she connects beautifully with people & loves to check back in. She is playful with people & her siblings but also loves to play with her toys. Did we mention that anything can become a toy for this girl–a knotted washrag or empty water bottle is a particular favorite. Confident & a fast learner, like her sisters, Bee will love to learn new things that will make her think as well as play & exercise. She might enjoy dog sports like agility, or canine scentwork (aka nosework). She will not be content to sit on the sidelines, waiting for you to have time to do things with her. She will want to be with you, doing things together that you will both enjoy. Because Bee is both treat & toy-motivated, & wicked smart, she learns quickly, & will be so rewarding to bond with & train. She will be willing to do whatever you ask her to do & then snuggle with you afterward.
(ADOPTED) SPRUCE (Male) is 9.6 pounds and an oh so sweet little boy with such expressive eyes. This fella can stand up to his siblings with spunk & energy, but prefers a quiet cuddle like his sister Poppy. A fast learner, Spruce will love to learn new things that will make him think as well as play & exercise. He might enjoy dog sports like agility, or canine scentwork (aka nosework). He will want to be with you, doing things together that you will both enjoy. He connects beautifully with people, but he can also play with toys on his own. He will be willing to do whatever you ask him to do & then snuggle with you afterward.
