ADOPTED – LIAM
Male, 1 year, 43 lbs
Male, 1 year, 43 lbs
LIAM is not just classically handsome but he is also a very smart Border Collie. Our LIAM is approximately one year of age & currently weighs about 43 lbs. He could stand to gain another few pounds but he’s also very healthy at his current weight.
LIAM is an all-around friendly boy who has never met a person or dog he doesn’t like. In his foster home he has learned some basic commands but he is smart enough to keep learning whatever you want to teach him. This dog is extremely fast & agile & loves to run; therefore a home with a large yard would be best for him. His foster Mom thinks he might make a great disc dog or possibly do well with some of the many dog sports. LIAM is a Border collie who has a very high energy level (but also has an “off” button) so he definitely needs a job or something to do to bring out his full potential. He enjoys daily walks and ball throwing. He would also enjoy a playful buddy who has pretty who can match his energy level.
We are looking to place LIAM with an owner who has experience with high energy Border Collies & understands their needs. It should be someone who will dedicate the time to make him the best companion he deserves to be. Being a puppy LIAM’S potty training is still a work in progress but he is coming along well. He is fully crate trained & will go willingly into it when needed. LIAM sleeps in his crate (or on your bed, if allowed) quietly through the night. He does get a little carsick & drools when travelling but this is usually only a temporary situation and they most always do get over it.
LIAM is a special dog who is very responsive to commands, has tons of energy, loves to play, is very affectionate, food/treat motivated and just a silly goofball. You just can’t help falling in love with LIAM.
LIAM is micro-chipped, neutered, heartworm negative and on preventative, and up-to-date on vaccinations. If you have an approved Northern California Border Collie Rescue & Adoptions Adoption Application (https://norcalbcrescue.org/adoption/adoption-application/) and wish to inquire about LIAM, please email us at Adoptions@norcalbcrescue.org. If you have an approved adoption application with Border Collie Rescue of Northern California let us know and we will request it be forwarded to us for consideration.
