ADOPTED – LUNA
Female, 18 months
Female, 18 months
Meet lovely LUNA! LUNA is a medium coat red and white Border collie about 18 months old. Luna has medium to low drive but her BC genes might become more pronounced with time as she’s had some adjusting to do. She is cautious around new people, especially men, but warms up quickly and becomes a love bug begging for pets and attention.
LUNA has had some prior obedience training and has near perfect recall, sitting attentively after she returns to you. She is extremely affectionate and prefers to be very close by her humans when they’re around. LUNA is perfectly behaved on leash and loves the daily walks/runs we take around the neighborhood with her foster sisters. LUNA is a polite guest and although always ready to play, play, play, is not a nuisance at all. She does not run off and is dependable to stay close to the pack when out and about. She is very athletic and loves to go on adventures so an active forever home will be a must. Loud noises still startle and affect her, so a calmer, friendly environment would be key.
LUNA is super friendly to all humans and other dogs and is a champ at stealing hearts wherever she goes. She loves food and could eat all day if we let her so we believe she will be treat-motivated as well. We anticipate she will take to whatever training that comes her way as she is very attentive and eager to please.
LUNA rides nicely and calmly in a car with or without a crate. At nighttime, she strongly prefers to sleep in a dog bed vs. a crate, so we’ve accommodated her. LUNA still likes to chew on things and has a bit of a digging problem, so is learning the dos and don’ts in that regard. As with any young dog, proactive prevention to keep her out of mischief has been helpful. She hasn’t had a potty accident in some time so we can presume that she is now house-trained.
LUNA is micro-chipped, spayed, heartworm negative and on preventative, and up-to-date on vaccinations.
