ADOPTED – AMY

Female, 14 weeks. 13 lbs
AMY is a darling 13 pound, 14-week-old Border collie/McNab mix girlie, with the slick, easy-care McNab coat, & the smarts & keen attention common to both breeds. She is a delightful, enthusiastic, social girl. Amy thinks it’s all fun & would like someone to share fun with her. She loves tug toys, chew toys, & balls, & she loves any & all treats. So, she will work & learn for toys & treats. She loves playing tug & chasing the other dogs in her foster home as fast as she can possibly run!
AMY learns quickly & is making great strides in potty training (using a doggy door reliably). She offers a “sit” & comes when she is called—not so much to her name as to a double-click sound. While she is not truly crate-trained, she has eaten her meals in a crate or her pen & has traveled well in her crate. She knows to “go to crate/pen” for meals & to sit & wait to get her food.
While AMY is a very active, go-go-go, fun-loving girl that will need more stimulation & engaged activity than a walk around the block, she can settle & be soft & affectionate. She is also easy to handle. She would thrive in a home with a family that likes to train–maybe even dog sports like agility, flyball, nosework– & where she gets to be a part of things (hiking?) with her people & with another dog pal. (She would really like to live in a home with another dog, & we want that for her.) She has lived with cats; if the cats run, she is likely to chase them. If you are looking for a dog that is a blast to train & play with, who loves people & other dogs & wants to be with her people, & who is adventurous, sweet, & adorable, Amy might be your puppy.
AMY is started on her puppy vaccines, wormed, and microchipped. She is also on flea & tick and heartworm prevention. As a condition of puppy adoption, she will need to be altered when she reaches approximately 6 months (specific time to be determined by your vet). In addition to the adoption fee, puppy adoption requires a $75 spay/neuter deposit. Upon our receiving the spay/neuter certificate from you, the deposit is refunded.
