Male, 8 year, 38 lbs
Meet BANDIT, a small (38#), 8-year-old boy who is ready to find his forever home. Bandit was clearly neglected in his former life, but he’s loving life now after a dental, grooming, & a diet, as well as the attention of his foster family who loves him dearly. Bandit likes meeting new people & exploring new places. He likes to go for rides in the car & going for walks on a leash, & while he is not trained to heel yet, he does walk nicely on a leash. He gets along well with the other dogs in his foster home, but he loves one-on-one attention so much that his ideal home would be one in which he is the only dog. While Bandit wins the Mr. Congeniality Award with people & other dogs, he is most definitely not a cat man. He needs a home with no cats.
What about training & manners you ask? Besides walking nicely on a leash, Bandit has a nice recall. He sleeps quietly next to the bed or in his crate. He has nice house manners & settles easily. He sits by the door as a signal to go outside. And while Bandit is not particularly interested in toys, he is very treat-motivated so treats are a good motivator for him when he’s learning new skills or behaviors. All in all, Bandit is a sweet, calm companion.
