ADOPTED – CINDY
Female, 9 weeks. 9 lbs
Female, 9 weeks. 9 lbs
CINDY is a happy-go-lucky black and white smooth coat border collie mix. At 9 weeks and 9 pounds, this little cutie is especially agile and athletic. Scoop her up and CINDY will give you kisses and snuggle up, but she won’t stay there long. She wants to go, go, go. We believe CINDY will be a very active pup who will need both physical and mental stimulation like agility or nosework to be the best family member she can be.
CINDY’s house and crate training are a work-in-progress, but she’s getting there. She is fed in her crate and always sits nicely for her food. CINDY is quiet in her crate during down time and overnight until it’s potty time. She will cry when she needs to go out, so we let them all out (1 – 2 times per night). She also learned the advantages of the doggie door (ours goes to our safe and secure deck), so she has a head start if her new home has one.
CINDY has not yet shown a big interest in toys. She will chase a ball (or more accurately chase the dog chasing the ball). CINDY would benefit from a canine friend to show her the ropes and help with her fulfill her need for activity, but also will be fine in an active and engaging single dog home.
If you think you are ready for the challenge of a border collie puppy, we’d love to hear from you. She loves her food and treats, and to hear “Good Girl,” so training should be LOADS of fun!
CINDY is started on her puppy vaccines, wormed, and microchipped. She is also on flea & tick and heartworm prevention. As a condition of puppy adoption, she will need to be altered when she reaches approximately 6 months (specific time to be determined by your vet). In addition to the adoption fee, puppy adoption requires a $75 spay/neuter deposit. Upon our receiving the spay/neuter certificate from you, the deposit is refunded. If you have an approved Northern California Border Collie Rescue & Adoptions Adoption Application and wish to inquire about CINDY, please email us at Adoptions@norcalbcrescue.org. If you have an approved adoption application with Border Collie Rescue of Northern California let us know and we will request it be forwarded to us for consideration.
CINDY is being fostered north of Corning in Tehama County, CA.
