ADOPTED – DAISY DUKE
Female, 5 Months. 30 lbs.
Female, 5 Months. 30 lbs.
Meet our sweet and sassy little DAISY (aka DAISY DUKE!) She is a 5m old Border Collie/Cattle Dog mix who is about 30lbs. She is a red and white smooth coat with adorable spots on her feet and legs. DAISY is a medium to high energy girl who will need daily exercise and mental stimulation. After playtime, she settles down nicely in the house and has very good house manners for a young girl. She does like to chew on toys and treats, but has not chewed anything inappropriate.
DAISY is fast and athletic and would make a great sport dog. She’d also enjoy being a hiking, running and all around adventure dog. She is both food and praise motivated and is a fast learner. She has some basic commands (sit, off and leave it) but will need to continue her basic training. She loves toys and balls and is already bringing the ball back! DAISY loves to be near her people and is very sweet and affectionate. She can be a little jumpy and mouthy at times and will need to continue to work on that. She has done very well at her foster so far.
DAISY gets along well with other dogs and will engage in play. See the video link below.
Her play style can be a bit rough so any other dogs in the household would need to be OK with her puppy, high energy play style. Daisy is too curious about cats and does have some prey drive so she needs to be in a cat free home. There are cats at her foster and while she does not hurt them, she will chase and is too interested in them.
DAISY sleeps quietly in her crate at night and is fully potty trained. She is getting used to riding in a car and needs a little help loading up and then needs to be either crated or harness clipped in the car. She gets very excited and wiggly!
DAISY would do well with an active family who will continue her training, who wants an adventure buddy and who has room in their heart for this sweet girl.
DAISY is started on her puppy vaccines, wormed, and microchipped. She is also on flea & tick and heartworm prevention. As a condition of puppy adoption, she will need to be altered when she reaches approximately 6 months (specific time to be determined by your vet). In addition to the adoption fee, puppy adoption requires a $75 spay/neuter deposit. Upon our receiving the spay/neuter certificate from you, the deposit is refunded.
