Female, 4 years, 35 lbs.
Meet FLY girl. FLY is a four-year-old, 35lb border collie mix with a medium length coat. She has attentive ears and kind eyes that never leave sight of her person. Despite being on the shy side, FLY has never met a human she does not love.
FLY has the quickest happy feet when bounding to greet her people and follows them absolutely everywhere. She will crawl up on your lap and melt into you for a pet. An ideal day for FLY looks a bit like this: a quick trip outside before breakfast, naps all day and short trips around the house to follow her people, maybe a jaunt outside, dinner, and a good sleep wherever she sees fit that night, whether that be her bed, your bed, or her crate.
FLY is friendly with other dogs after a slow introduction, she but takes some time to warm up enough to play and overall prefers people. For this reason, she would do just fine in a home as a single dog. FLY is house-trained and crate-trained. She crates herself with one simple word and sleeps soundly while her people are away. She has not shown her fosters a single bad habit and responds very well to a quiet “no” should you decide you don’t in fact want her on your lap where she would love to be. FLY has shown little interest in toys or treats but is eager to please and thrives on praise.
FLY walks well on a leash and has shown no interest in other animals including but not limited to cats and chickens. She has excellent recall, little to no prey-drive and is appropriate with children of all ages. FLY also rides quietly in a car.
