Meet INDI, a sweet 1-year-old boy looking for a loving home. INDI is a beautifully marked medium coat Border Collie mix, weighing in at about 60 pounds. INDI is a highly intelligent but very shy dog. He is loving and playful with other dogs, but wary of people. He will need a dog buddy, a calm household, and a patient family who can help him build trust.
INDI likes to be petted and loves to play with other dogs. A dog brother or sister who can give him confidence (as a buddy) would be needed. A home with knowledge of fearful dog behavior is preferred. In his foster home, he is getting more comfortable being close to his humans, and his humans have learned some good techniques for building his confidence. Watch his video to see how he plays with other dogs and how we’re working with him.
INDI has shown some interest in toys, particularly when playing with his packmates. His crate is his ‘safe space’ but he also loves being out in the yard or snuggly nestled in a cushy dog bed.
INDI has a clean bill of health, is heartworm negative, neutered, microchipped, and up to date on his vaccinations. He has had no accidents in the house, is crate-trained and sleeps all night through.
