ADOPTED – JAN
Female, 9 weeks. 9 lbs
Female, 9 weeks. 9 lbs
JAN is a soft and cuddly black and white puff ball rough coat border collie mix who loves pets and belly rubs. At 9 weeks and 9 pounds, this beauty is the quietest of the group, but don’t let that calm demeanor fool you. She knows what’s going on at all times. She will assert herself when the notion strikes to keep her sisters in line. Her favorite place: whichever lap or shoulder will have her. Scoop her up and JAN will give you kisses and snuggle up.
JAN’s house and crate training are a work in progress, but she’s getting there. She is fed in her crate and always sits nicely for her food. JAN is quiet in her crate during down time and overnight until it’s potty time. It’s usually her sisters that will cry, so we let them all out (1 – 2 times per night). She also learned the advantages of the doggie door (ours goes to our safe and secure deck) so she has a head start if her new home has one.
She has begun to show interest in rope toy tug, and will chase a ball but doesn’t yet understand the concept of retrieve. We believe JAN will be a mildly active pup who may need activities more on the mental stimulation side than they physical side, but both will be needed to make her the best family member she can be. She loves her food and treats, while she also loves to hear “Good Girl” so training should be LOADS of fun!
JAN will be fine in a single dog home or with a canine friend. If you think you are ready for the challenge of a border collie puppy, we’d love to hear from you. She loves her food and treats, and to hear “Good Girl,” so training should be LOADS of fun!
JAN is started on her puppy vaccines, wormed, and microchipped. She is also on flea & tick and heartworm prevention. As a condition of puppy adoption, she will need to be altered when she reaches approximately 6 months (specific time to be determined by your vet). In addition to the adoption fee, puppy adoption requires a $75 spay/neuter deposit. Upon our receiving the spay/neuter certificate from you, the deposit is refunded.
