ADOPTED JESS

Male, 11 Months, 50 lbs

JESS is just shy of one year old and weighs 50 pounds. He is a tricolor with a smooth coat, has those perky Border collie ears we all love and unique facial markings that with enough imagination make it look like he is wearing a mask!

JESS might be one of the goofiest, most playful pups you’ll meet. He can entertain himself with almost anything from toys to dogs to humans. He absolutely loves to play and even when you don’t have the time, JESS is so silly and cute you won’t be able to resist. He checks in with his people frequently and if you happen not to notice, you’ll find a paw, or maybe two, in your lap just asking for a simple pet.

JESS has shown us nothing but excellent manners thus far. He is not much of a jumper and doesn’t contemplate going out the front door when opened. Jess knows how to “sit” and responds very quickly when told “no.” He only chews on dog toys and barks occasionally when excited or playing!

JESS thoroughly enjoys the company of other dogs, but with adequate exercise would surely thrive in a home without. He does have a moderate prey drive with other animals but is very food motivated and would likely move along with some simple training. He also enjoys walks on a leash and is still learning not to tug.

JESS is house trained and crate trained. He happily walks into his crate with a simple command. JESS sleeps throughout the night in his crate and spends any time without supervision in it as well.

JESS is micro-chipped, neutered, heart worm negative and on preventative, and up to date on vaccinations. If you have an approved Northern California Border Collie Rescue & Adoptions Adoption Application and wish to inquire about JESS, please email us at Adoptions@norcalbcrescue.org. If you have an approved adoption application with Border Collie Rescue of Northern California let us know and we will request it be forwarded to us for consideration.

JESS is being fostered in Vacaville in Solano County, CA.
