ADOPTED – JET

Male, 3 years, 41 lbs
JET craves love and affection. At 3 years and 41 pounds, this beautifully marked rough coat (medium length) red and white border collie is all about his people. His golden eyes will make your heart melt. From minute one of their first meeting, JET leaned into his foster dad for pets and lovin’. He really wants to be close to his people…like if he could get inside your shirt close that would be just fine with JET.
JET does enjoy the interaction with his doggie friends (young, old, male, female), but will put on a sad face when they all go out and dad doesn’t go with him. This was especially noticeable after his neuter, when he could not go out with other dogs for a few days. He insisted dad go with him. No was not an acceptable response. JET would like another dog to play with, learn the ropes from, and help build his confidence, but would be fine as an only dog as long as his people are around a lot to keep JET engaged, active, and happy.
JET would benefit greatly from a patient, gentle, and caring owner who can provide a quiet, secure and nurturing environment while helping him build confidence and trust. Once he feels secure in the love bestowed upon him, JET expresses his gratitude with hugs and kisses. While JET possesses a gentle nature, it’s important to note that he may have experienced rough handling in the past. As a result, he may exhibit sensitivity, occasionally flinching when confronted with loud noises or sudden movements.
JET quickly learned the potty schedule in his foster home. He is becoming more comfortable entering his crate, and once in he’s good, spending overnight and down time quietly in his safe place. He does not seem interested in toys at this time. He has a nice balance of liking treats and praise. JET is ready to become an integral and loved part of any family.
