ADOPTED – KAI
Male, 5 months, 28 lbs
Male, 5 months, 28 lbs
Meet little 5 month old KAI who currently weighs in at 28lbs. He’s a merle sable with the most gorgeous blue eyes. Kai has been in foster with a female Kelpie and has met many other dogs who he immediately loves. He’s met children and thinks they are just grand.
KAI is medium drive with exceptional trainability as he just wants to please. He’d do well in a family and would excel as a nice training prospect for any one of the numerous dog sports like Agility or Treibball. He walks great on leash and picks up commands like the brilliant puppy he is. He learned the tug game quickly and is willing to “give” when the tug item becomes still. Did I mention how much he wants to please?
KAI crates well and spends the day in a covered kennel while his foster mom is at work. At night, he will sleep in a crate, but really enjoys being curled up with you in bed. He uses a doggie door and follows the lead of the resident dog. Whatever she does, he does. Kai rides beautifully in his crate in the car and is ready for whatever adventure awaits. He has excellent recall and happily comes running to see what you might have in store for him.
KAI’s potty training is going very well, especially for the short time he has been out of the shelter. He really wants to go outside, but occasionally, if left too long for his young bladder to handle; he does have the random accident.
KAI loves to wrestle and romp with other dogs. Enjoys any kind of toys, fetching and just about anything he can fit with in his mouth. Kai has met cats and will re-direct, but will take reminding that most cats are not in favor of wrestling. Alas, I would keep this rare gem of a boy if only I was in a position to add to our family. He’s easygoing, enjoys cuddles and just melts when you praise him. He thinks “good boy” is his actual name.
So if you are looking to spend time with a very special boy, we’d love for you to submit an application.
