MAMA MERCY is a small (around 32#), young (about 18 months) former mama dog of seven darling puppies.  The pups are heading off to their forever homes, & it’s time for MERCY to find her family.  A border collie mix with a docked tail & a smooth, easy-care coat, MERCY is a sweet, impish girl, who loves nothing more than to be with her people. She snuggles up to, follows around, & looks adoringly at her people, sometimes twirling in the air with joy.  Even though she is good with other dogs & with cats, she clearly prefers people.  She is nicely social with people she has just met.  And in all things, she is gentle.

MERCY is treat-motivated, so using treats & positive reinforcement promise to make training a fun experience for her & her new family.  She already behaves nicely in the house–& is quiet–but she still has new things to learn.  She will settle nicely with her antler chew.  She reliably uses the doggy door to go potty outside, & her foster mom believes she is reliably housebroken otherwise.

MERCYis micro-chipped, spayed, heart worm negative and on preventative, and up to date on vaccinations. If you have an approved Northern California Border Collie Rescue & Adoptions Adoption Application and wish to inquire about MERCY, please email us at Adoptions@norcalbcrescue.org. If you have an approved adoption application with Border Collie Rescue of Northern California let us know and we will request it be forwarded to us for consideration.

MERCY is being fostered in Live Oak in Sutter County, CA.
