Are you ready for a cuteness overload??
Meet little PANDA BEAR, a very sweet Border collie mix with the most adorable little bob tail. PANDA weighs a slender 35 lbs. and is only one year old. She has a soft medium length coat with black ticking on her face and feet. She has big soft brown eyes that are always looking for love. If you’re looking for a REAL cuddle bug PANDA’S your go to girl! She probably holds the title of the most affectionate dog we have ever fostered (and there have been A LOT)! At one year old PANDA is very much a puppy with all the energy and playfulness that’s typical of a Border collie pup.
PANDA absolutely loves to run (fast, fast, fast!) and play. In her foster home she has discovered how much fun toys are and it’s so funny watching her toss a stuffed toy in the air and try to catch it! We’ve introduced her to the agility equipment and she was not afraid to try it. She just might enjoy agility. PANDA has a real zest for life but she will settle down and snuggle with you. She absolutely loves to cuddle with her person on the couch and is very free with her kisses.
PANDA is very smart and willing to learn. In her foster home she has already learned some basic commands and doesn’t hold a grudge when corrected. Training is a work in progress. It is fun and PANDA is enthusiastic. We are working on her leash training as well. In the rare instance we have visitors, she is pretty shy. More socialization will help her overcome this.
PANDA has done very well with her potty training and hasn’t had any accidents in her foster home. She rides in the car quietly and sleeps through the night in her crate but would love to snuggle in bed with you if allowed. Our structured world is new to PANDA and she is very curious about everything! She needs supervision, guidance and limitations to know how to be the best dog she can be.
We feel PANDA will do best and thrive in a home with an active person/family. She gets along well with other dogs but since she is very young she tends to play roughly and needs to learn what is acceptable play with other dogs. She will do fine as an only dog especially since she likes to hog all the attention and affection. However, a buddy who can tolerate her young energy and endurance would be fine as well.
All in all, PANDA is a sweetheart with tons of potential! She is hoping to find love with someone who will shower her with affection and lots of attention. Someone who has the time and patience to continue working with her will be rewarded with a great forever friend as she has so much to offer in return!
