ROJO
Meet ROJO! A darling, sweet and cuddly 5-month-old Kelpie mix puppy. ROJO is 22 pounds with a smooth beautifully marked red coat and marled ticking on his legs, along with big stand-up ears! ROJO was taken into NCBCRA foster care, along with his buddy WILLOW, as we couldn’t leave him behind at the shelter! ROJO is highly socialized and loves being with his humans; in fact you could say he is a bit of a ‘velcro’ dog as his preference is to be with you 24 x 7. ROJO likes playing with toys, receiving hugs and kisses, cuddling on the couch and receiving belly rubs. He knows the basic ‘sit’ command, is practicing his recall, and is treat motivated.
ROJO is curious, playful, inquisitive and happy. He can hold his own playing with his BC foster packmates, always jumping in to wrestle and participate in games of tug-of-war, wrestling, and keep away. ROJO is not quite potty-trained, but getting closer, and sleeps through the night in his crate. He travels well in the car. This sweet boy is ready to find his forever family.
ROJO has completed his second round of DHPP vaccinations, has been wormed, has received a Bordetella vaccination, heartworm and flea preventative medication, and has been microchipped. As a condition of puppy adoption, he will need to be altered when he reaches approximately 6 months (specific time to be determined by your vet). In addition to the adoption fee, puppy adoption requires a $75 spay/neuter deposit. Upon our receiving the spay/neuter certificate from you, the deposit is refunded. If you have an approved Northern California Border Collie Rescue & Adoptions Adoption Application and wish to inquire about ROJO, please email us at Adoptions@norcalbcrescue.org.
ROJO is being fostered in Granite Bay in Placer County, CA.
