SAM is as affable a guy as The Sam Malone of Cheers fame. He wants everyone to be happy with him & thrives on positive reinforcement. It’s easy to be happy with Sam because he truly is such a good boy. Sam likes to try new things & join in the fun with his littermates & the other dogs in his foster home. And did we mention cute? Sam has soft eyes & a beautiful black & white, easy-to-care-coat. He also has a “thumbprint” on the top of his head. Some dog lovers call this “the lucky thumbprint” & others call it “the mark of wisdom.” We say whoever adopts him will be wise & lucky!
Like his siblings, SAM loves to play with toys & with people & other dogs. He would do well in a home with another dog, but would be happy as an only dog, soaking up all the love & attention. He’s easy-going that way. Sam is a bright, inquisitive boy, who will enjoy learning new things, & enjoying the treats & play-rewards that come along with all of that. If you’re looking for a devoted, fun-loving friend to pal around with & to simply hang out afterwards, our Sam just might be the best puppy sidekick you could ask for.
SAM is started on her puppy vaccines, wormed, and microchipped. She is also on flea & tick and heartworm prevention. As a condition of puppy adoption, she will need to be altered when she reaches approximately 6 months (specific time to be determined by your vet). In addition to the adoption fee, puppy adoption requires a $75 spay/neuter deposit. Upon our receiving the spay/neuter certificate from you, the deposit is refunded. If you have an approved Northern California Border Collie Rescue & Adoptions Adoption Application and wish to inquire about SAM, please email us at Adoptions@norcalbcrescue.org. If you have an approved adoption application with Border Collie Rescue of Northern California let us know and we will request it be forwarded to us for consideration.
