Update – MAIRA and Freya Adopted
Meet FREYA and MAIRI, two little girls that are sure to steal your heart. With super soft, downy coats, FREYA has lots of lovely ticking on her face and legs, and MAIRI (pronounced May-ra) is classic black and white.
At 10 1/2 weeks old these girls are happy dancers, cuddlers and mischief-makers! You’ll want to be prepared with games, training opportunities, or dog sports for these dearies; they love games (like keep away) and toys. The puppies live with other dogs in their foster home, so they are well-socialized to dogs. They have had lots of visitors in their foster home, & they have been charming to one & all. They don’t yet have a firm grasp of housebreaking, but that should come with consistent direction from you.
FREYA is 13 pounds and oh so sweet with freckles or ticking on her face and legs. She loves a quiet cuddle and naps, alternated with lots of play time. A fast learner, FREYA will love to learn new things that will make her think as well as play & exercise. She might enjoy dog sports like agility, or canine scentwork (aka nosework). She will want to be with you, doing things together that you will both enjoy. She connects beautifully with people, but she can also play with toys on her own. She will be willing to do whatever you ask her to do & then snuggle with you afterward.
ADOPTED – MAIRI(pronounced May-ra) is 13 pounds and a gorgeous black & white with standup and flop-over ears. This girl loves to wrestle and play games, and enjoys her toys, but also loves to cuddle and nap. Like her sister, MAIRI will love to train & learn new things that will make her think as much if not more than simply playing or exercising. She might enjoy dog sports like agility, or canine scent work (aka nose work). She will not be content to sit on the sidelines, waiting for you to have time to do things with her. She will want to be with you, doing things together that you will both enjoy. MAIRI will be willing to do whatever you ask her to do & then snuggle with you afterward.
THE VALENTINE’S DAY GIRLS are started on their puppy vaccines, wormed, and microchipped. As a condition of puppy adoption, each will need to be altered when they reach approximately 6 months (specific time to be determined by your vet). In addition to the adoption fee, puppy adoption requires a $75 spay/neuter deposit. Upon our receiving the spay/neuter certificate from you, the deposit is refunded. If you have an approved Northern California Border Collie Rescue & Adoptions Adoption Application and wish to inquire about the puppies, please email us at Adoptions@norcalbcrescue.org. If you have an approved adoption application with Border Collie Rescue of Northern California let us know and we will request it be forwarded to us for consideration.
