ADOPTED – TOOTSIE

Female, 6 months, 25 lbs

TOOTSIE is a 25#, 6-month-old spayed border collie mix, who has a lovely, gentle temperament.  She has a beautiful sleek coat.  Like her brother Sarge, she is active & playful. She particularly likes to play with her brother.  She might like a home with another playful dog.  She is friendly & social with people, but will offer an alert bark when someone she doesn’t know comes to call.  She is easy-going, & is a little bit on the soft side.  Tootsie likes to please & doesn’t like to think she’s made her human unhappy.

TOOTSIE is smart & learns quickly.  She likes everyone she meets, & likes to play with toys with her person or with other dogs.  She is both treat, toy (Frisbees, balls, chew toys, etc.), & praise-motivated.  She is as happy playing with a person as she is another dog, but we think that’s because she has had her brother as her constant companion for her whole life.  She does things independently without Sarge, or with her foster mom, so no worries about splitting up these two pups.  She will make a wonderful companion/pal dog for her new family.

TOOTSIE rides nicely in a crate in the car.  She sleeps in a pen with her brother & settles immediately for the night.  In her foster home, she uses the doggy door reliably to go outside to potty.

TOOTSIE is micro-chipped, spayed, heartworm negative and on preventative, and up-to-date on vaccinations. If you have an approved Northern California Border Collie Rescue & Adoptions Adoption Application and wish to inquire about TOOTSIE, please email us at Adoptions@norcalbcrescue.org. TOOTSIE is fostering in Live Oak in Sutter County, CA.
