ADOPTED Tullie

Female, 1 year, 30 lbs

TULLIE APR 2020

TULLIE
Tullie is a smaller one year old female Border Collie weighing a slender 30 lbs. She has the cutest little face of any dog we’ve ever seen! She has very dark soulful eyes that will melt your heart as they appear to look into your very soul! She has a short easy care coat with classic Border Collie markings. TULLIE has long slender legs that can run like the wind with all the Border Collie and puppy energy you’d expect from this breed.

TULLIE was rescued from a very sad situation and we don’t believe this adorable little girl was ever shown very much love or attention. It’s quite apparent, also, that she was never given the socialization that is so important to a puppy’s early development. Because of this it has made her very “cautious” of people. Sadly, we feel she was neglected from the start! Therefore, we are posting TULLIE as a “SPECIAL NEEDS” dog. In spite of her early history TULLIE doesn’t seem to have an aggressive bone in her body! Since coming into foster care, she has made quite a bit of progress in many ways! She has found so much joy playing with toys, running after balls and chasing after her foster brothers and sister who cannot keep up with her!. In her foster home, TULLIE will come up with the other dogs for pets even though she is not sure of the human touch but she still gives us a lick on our hand which seems to be all she can do for now. It is very obvious however, that she wants to be loved so if given time and patience we believe she will overcome her fears.

This little girl walks perfectly by your side on leash and her foster Mom is amazed at how much focus and attention she gives her while on their daily walks. She rides quietly in the car and willingly jumps right in. She is pretty much housebroken and at bedtime she runs willingly into her crate, gives her foster Mom a good-night kiss then sleeps quietly through the night. In the morning she gives her foster Mom another kiss before coming out of her crate to start her day!

We do believe this “special” little girl has the potential to become a loving companion to the “right”person. More importantly, we are looking for someone who can see her potential and understand her current issues. Someone who will fall in love with her and give her the time she needs to become the dog she is capable of being!.We also think that once TULLIE is more comfortable with people, in general, and she’s had the training required, she might possibly excel at a sport! She would, also, benefit greatly if she had a furry companion with similar energy to play with.
TULLIE is still very much a “WORK IN PROGRESS.” Love alone won’t be enough to move her further along. You will need training skills, experience and patience. If you feel you are that “special” someone who has the desire to help this precious little dog blossom then TULLIE and I would like to talk with you.

TULLIE is micro-chipped, spayed, heart worm negative and on preventative, and up to date on vaccinations. If you have an approved Northern California Border Collie Rescue & Adoptions Adoption Application and wish to inquire about Tripp, please email us at Adoptions@norcalbcrescue.org. If you have an approved adoption application with Border Collie Rescue of Northern California let us know and we will request it be forwarded to us for consideration.

TULLIE. is being fostered in Nevada City in Nevada County, CA.
