COCO

Female, 2.5 years, 52lbs
Meet Miss Coco! She is a 2.5-year-old, 52lb, BC/McNab mix with a easy care, tri colored smooth coat. She also has a docked tail that is about 6 inches long. Coco’s favorite thing is her person. She wants to be with you, but is not too clingy and will happily settle near by. Second favorite is going for walks/runs, then balls and plush toys.
Coco gets along with other dogs and has integrated well with her foster pack. She can be a little bit shy at first when meeting new dogs, but will warm up after a few minutes. She is the same with people. Give her 5 minutes, let her come to you and she will be your best friend in no time.
Coco loves the water. She is a great swimmer and will bring back a ball or water toy. She is a medium to high energy girl who needs daily walks/runs/swims and then she has a great off switch and will settle nicely at home. Coco is a bit too attentive to the cat in her foster home and needs a cat free home.
Coco travels well in a car with a harness and seatbelt clip or in a crate. She is happy to be crated during the day when her foster is away for a couple hours and she sleep quietly in her crate all night. She is fully potty trained with no issues. She walks well on a leash with a harness and would love to be your running/hiking buddy! She can sometimes startle at loud noises (like a big truck going by) while out walking, but she quickly recovers. She is not bothered by barking dogs or other dogs she meets on the street.
Overall, she is a sweetheart of a girl who is a little sensitive, but given some extra time and patience she does very well. She is very food motivated and has some basic training. Sit, wait, come etc. Her recall needs a little work but is great if not too distracted. She is a smart girl who would love for someone to continue her training. She is also very agile, fast and could excel at dog sports.
Coco is looking for an active household who wants to include her as part of the family. She will reward you with devotion, loyalty and the fun antics that come with life with a herding dog.
