DAHLIA is a sweet and lively 10-pound puppy who will steal your heart. At about 12 weeks of age, this girl is ready to go to her forever home. DAHLIA is energetic & smart, so be prepared with games, training opportunities, or future dog sports. This girlie likes rough and tumble play, and can stand up to foster friends with spunk & energy. DAHLIA tries to play with the 2 cats in the home and is not aggressive the attempts. A fast learner, DAHLIA will love to learn new things that will make her think as well as play & exercise. She might enjoy dog sports like agility, or canine scentwork (aka nosework). She will want to be with you, doing things together that you will both enjoy. She connects beautifully with people, but she can also play with toys on her own. If you give her what she needs to work her little brain & body, there is an “off switch” & she will be happy snuggling, or hanging out with you.
DAHLIA has amazingly markings and a soft and fluffy coat – it is wonderful to pet her and run your hands through pure softness! DAHLIA has had a fair number of visitors in her foster home, & has been charming to one & all. She does not yet have a firm grasp of housebreaking, but as smart as she is, that should come together once she has one-on-one, consistent direction from you. DAHLIA sleeps nearly all night in her (a mid-night potty break may be in order), she loves cuddles and a good belly rub.
DAHLIA is started on her puppy vaccines, wormed, and microchipped. She is also on flea & tick and heartworm prevention. As a condition of puppy adoption, she will need to be altered when she reaches approximately 6 months (specific time to be determined by your vet). In addition to the adoption fee, puppy adoption requires a $75 spay/neuter deposit. Upon our receiving the spay/neuter certificate from you, the deposit is refunded.
