Welcome to The Gems and Treasures Litter
Born August 7–8, 2025, this special group of puppies has been thoughtfully raised by a canine behavior consultant and alongside their mom with an age-appropriate, enriching socialization program.
They’ve experienced Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS) and have been gently desensitized to everyday sounds such as fireworks, vacuums, thunderstorms, and garbage trucks—often while enjoying their meals. Their adventures have included neighborhood walks in a puppy stroller, visits to patio restaurants, retail stores, and outdoor concerts, and plenty of safe social time with both dogs and humans.
Each puppy has been introduced to basic training concepts, including taking food gently from a hand, and learning to lure into sit, down, and spin. They have started crate training and foundational potty training. Their pen environment changes daily to expose them to different textures, objects, and sounds, helping build strong environmental confidence. They are comfortable with items moving under their feet and sleeping in a separate room from humans.
Although their mom is a herding breed (Border Collie mix), each of these puppies is expected to grow quite large — with Sid likely being the biggest of the bunch.
All puppies have been wormed, received their first round of vaccinations, microchipped and are now ready to begin their next big adventure in life!
Meet Sid, the big-hearted goofball of the Gems and Treasures crew with one grey eye and one blue eye! At just eight weeks old and already 19 pounds, this boy is growing fast and promises to be a big, huggable adventurer when he’s all grown up.
Sid is equal parts cuddly teddy bear and fearless explorer. He’s got that easygoing vibe but can turn on the energy when it’s time to play. Whether he’s wrestling with his littermates, chasing a toy, or flopping into your lap, Sid does it all with charm and confidence.
He’s a foodie, a toy lover, and a social butterfly with both people and dogs. Sid would be thrilled to have another playful pup in his future home to share all his adventures with. Sid is likely going to be VERY LARGE dog.
SID is started on his puppy vaccines, wormed, and microchipped. He is also on flea & tick and heartworm prevention. As a condition of puppy adoption, he will need to be altered when she reaches approximately 6 months (specific time to be determined by your vet). In addition to the adoption fee, puppy adoption requires a $75 spay/neuter deposit. Upon our receiving the spay/neuter certificate from you, the deposit is refunded. If you have an approved Northern California Border Collie Rescue & Adoptions Adoption Application and wish to inquire about SID, please email us at Adoptions@norcalbcrescue.org.
SID is being fostered in Orangevale in Sacramento County, CA.
