ADOPTED – CARL

Male, 5 Months, 25 lbs

CARL OCT 2021

Meet CARL (Carl’s Junior), a 5-month-old, 25# pup, who came into rescue with his brother Bob (Bob’s Big Boy).  Carl is a beautiful black & white smooth-coated border collie/McNab mix puppy, who is not just a pretty face.  Carl’s foster mom says he is the most loving, sweetest puppy she has ever fostered!  His favorite resting place is on his foster’s mom’s chest with his head wrapped around her neck!

CARL will need a home with lots of interaction & reward for doing things right.  He responds best to love, pets, kind words, & treats. Touch is very important to Carl, so it can be used as a reinforcer for training, or for a good cuddle on days when his human needs it.  He loves to play with any kind of toy, but his favorites are squeaky toys & the bigger-the-better-sized toys. He loves to play & he gets along super-duper with all the other animals in his foster home, including dogs, house & barn cats, tortoises, etc.  (Carl does sometimes bark at the tortoises when they are being rude!)  He loves watching the alpacas, sheep, goats, & geese.

CARL is a “heart dog,” the most affectionate puppy ever, who inspires love in everyone he meets.  You can’t not love Carl; he knows how to wrap people around his puppy paws. Carl is totally housebroken with a doggy door.

CARL is micro-chipped, spayed, heart worm negative and on preventative, and up to date on vaccinations. If you have an approved Northern California Border Collie Rescue & Adoptions Adoption Application and wish to inquire about CARL, please email us at Adoptions@norcalbcrescue.org. If you have an approved adoption application with Border Collie Rescue of Northern California let us know and we will request it be forwarded to us for consideration.

CARL is being fostered in Live Oak in Sutter County, CA.
