Bonnie is the cream of the crop, the cat’s meow, and the hidden gem every pet family hopes to find! This approximately one-year-old Border Collie is a wonderful blend of confidence, sensitivity, curiosity, and affection. She has so many of the qualities people dream of when searching for their perfect canine companion.
Bonnie loves adventures! Hop in the car, and she’ll ride quietly and contentedly until you arrive. Once you reach your destination, she’s ready to explore the world with you. Neighborhood walks? Absolutely! New sights and sounds? Bring them on! Bonnie walks nicely on leash and is comfortable around people, dogs, and the everyday happenings of the world.
She’s also highly food motivated, which makes training easy, rewarding, and fun. Bonnie enjoys learning and connecting with her person, but she isn’t looking for a career in dog sports. Her greatest talent is being a fabulous companion. She’s looking for a family who wants a wonderful dog to share everyday life with, rather than a high-drive sport or working partner.
Have you heard the affectionate term “Velcro dog”? That’s Bonnie! She loves her humans and wants to be part of whatever they’re doing. She’s happiest when she can hang out nearby, join the adventure, or simply keep you company.
But don’t mistake her devotion for an inability to be alone. Bonnie crates easily and quietly when her people need to go do human things. She’s also house-trained, so she’s ready to settle into home life with her new family.
Bonnie enjoys the company of other dogs and is comfortable sharing space with canine friends. She might enjoy a little game of chase, but she’s generally more interested in doing her own thing than engaging in extended play. Bonnie would be perfectly happy as the only dog in the home, soaking up all the attention, or living with another compatible dog. Just don’t expect her to be the resident playmate! She’s much more interested in spending time with her people. Bonnie is also too interested in kitty cats to live peacefully with a cat.
At home, Bonnie is a joy to live with. When the day winds down, she’s perfectly happy settling beside you on the couch for a peaceful evening.
Bonnie is that special kind of dog who can join you for an adventure in the morning and snuggle beside you for a quiet evening. She brings the wonderful qualities of a Border Collie without needing a sport or working outlet to feel fulfilled.
If you’re looking for a loving, well-mannered, adventure-loving companion who wants to be your partner in everyday life, Bonnie might just be your girl.
