Female, 8 months, 31 lbs.
Meet CINDER. This gorgeous gal is a Border collie mix about eight months of age and 31 lbs. She sports a soft, short, tri-colored (red / white / brown) coat.
CINDER is incredibly smart. She is highly treat motivated, which will make training fun for all parties. She is a little shy at first but warms up quickly. CINDER took to her foster mom first, and then decided dad was pretty cool too. She is happy to get cuddles from any human that is available.
CINDER has made great progress enjoying things new to her or outside her comfort zone. Car rides and walking on a leash are two examples of this. With the expectation of going somewhere fun, she jumps at the chance to experience either or both. She has a lot of energy and would do best in a home with active folks. Her fosters have been taking CINDER on hikes and she loves exploring. This girl has a very adventurous spirit. She may be a candidate for agility or other dog sports given her speed and motivation.
CINDER has enjoyed living with her foster brothers and sister. She enjoys wrestling with them and playing chase. She would be happy with another dog to play with, but could be happy as an only dog if given enough attention and things to do. CINDER was respectful of her foster’s cats right off the bat, so we expect she has experience there.
Did we mention she loves cuddling? She’ll curl right up next to you to watch TV or read a book at the end of the day. CINDER is house and crate trained. While she would prefer to cuddle all night, she sleeps quietly through the night in her crate.
CINDER has a lot of love to give and we can’t wait until she finds her forever home so she can reach her full potential!
