Adopted – FRANNY

Female, 10 months, 32 lbs

FRANNY AUG 2022

Meet our sweet FRANNY girl. She is a 32lb, 10m old BC mix with a soft, medium coat and cute fluffy ears. FRANNY’s favorite thing is her person. She will follow her foster mom around the house, then settle at her feet. She is a typical young girl who is still puppy-ish and will sometimes chew things that she should not given the chance. A little puppy proofing or limiting where she can go in the house is all she needs.

FRANNY loves to go for walks but has limited leash training. She has come far in a short time and we think she would be a fabulous running partner. She also loves the water and dove right in her first time at the lake. She is a medium to high energy girl who will need daily exercise and mental stimulation. FRANNY would make someone a wonderful adventure partner!

FRANNY can be a little shy in new situations, but she warms up quickly. For instance, when we walked into the vets office for the first time she went through the door, then laid down flat as a pancake. With a little coaxing she was fine and everyone at the vets office loved her.

FRANNY gets along with other dogs but can sometimes play a little too rough and may not want to share her toys. Introductions should be done slowly and give her time to be comfortable. She is currently being fostered with cats and while she does not try to hurt the cats, she will chase them if they run. She may get used to cats in time, but they would have to be very dog savvy cats.

FRANNY is a sweet girl but can be unsure of herself in some situations and needs someone who will give her lots of love, patience, cuddles and consistent training to help her to gain confidence and be her best self. She would likely do well being the only dog in the house because she really wants all of the attention and needs some time to gain confidence.

She is crate trained and sleeps quietly in her crate at night. She is fully potty trained and will use the dog door to go out when needed. She is getting used to riding in a car and needs help getting in but rides quietly. She is both food and praise motivated and is very eager to learn.

FRANNY is an overall sweet and loving girl who needs a little extra patience and gentle touch. She is ready for her forever family.

FRANNY is micro-chipped, spayed, heartworm negative and on preventative, and up-to-date on vaccinations. If you have an approved Northern California Border Collie Rescue & Adoptions Adoption Application and wish to inquire about FRANNY, please email us at Adoptions@norcalbcrescue.org. If you have an approved adoption application with Border Collie Rescue of Northern California let us know and we will request it be forwarded to us for consideration.

FRANNY is fostering in Folsom in Sacramento County, CA.
