ADOPTED Griffen

Male, 2 Years, 48 lbs

GRIFFEN JAN 2020

Say hello to our sweet, handsome boy GRIFFEN! He is a 2yr old, 48lb male with a beautiful rough coat. GRIFFEN loves to be with his people most of all. He will follow you around the house and wait patiently until it’s his turn for some attention. He also loves the ball and will happily chase it and sometimes bring it back when he is done playing with it. He has not shown interest in toys, but he loves his ball. GRIFFEN does like his deer antler too! GRIFF is one of those dogs who loves to ‘bite’ the water stream as it squirts out of the hose. Yes our GRIFF is a water boy!

GRIFFEN gets along well with all dogs, big and small. He is overly curious with cats and will chase them if they run so he would do best in a house without cats. GRIFFEN loves all people he meets and will greet everyone with a happy wag.

GRIFFEN does not like to be left alone. He will bark and sing for a few minutes when left alone, but will settle down with time. GRIFFEN sleeps quietly in his crate, as long as his people or another crated dog are in sight for companionship. He is house broken and has not had any accidents in the house. He rides well in a car and loads up easily. He would do best in a home where his people are home most of the time or where he can accompany his person on their errands.

GRIFF’S training is a work in progress. He walks OK on a leash unless distracted by something and then he pulls. He has a solid sit and will come when called unless there are distractions. He takes treats very softly and is treat motivated. He is neither food aggressive nor toy possessive. He would do very well with some basic training classes. He is a smart lad and picks up ideas easily.

GRIFFEN is a super cuddle boy and loves to be hugged and loved on. He will be happy to cuddle on the couch if you let him, or sit at your feet and put his head in your lap. He is a big love bug and will make a wonderful companion for someone who wants to be close with their dog. GRIFF is ready for his forever home and forever family!

GRIFFEN is  micro-chipped, neutered, heart worm negative and on preventative, and up to date on vaccinations. If you have an approved Northern California Border Collie Rescue & Adoptions Adoption Application and wish to enquire about REX, please email us at Adoptions@norcalbcrescue.org. If you have an approved adoption application with Border Collie Rescue of Northern California let us know and we will request it be forwarded to us for consideration.

GRIFFEN is being fostered in Auburn in Placer County, CA.
