Female, 1 Year, 25 lbs.
ADOPTED – Our little cuddlebug, MIYA, is a mere 25 lbs, 1 year old, with a smooth, gorgeous tri-color coat. She loves to snuggle on the couch or in bed (if allowed she would LOVE that). She will be fine in a crate overnight as well. Miya gets along well with the other dogs in the house. She really loves the company of other young dogs to play with. They provide her much needed comfort and outlet for her energy. This girl loves to play and wrestle!
Miya has come a long way since entering foster care. She is very shy but when that light goes on she is all in. Patience will help her build on her successes. She is doing well with her potty training. If given the opportunity she will potty outside but does sometimes get distracted by the other dogs, playtime etc. Gentle reminders or giving her quiet time outside works well.
Miya is crate trained and sleeps through the night in her crate. She is good with cats initially but as she gains confidence she will want to give chase. If you call her name or say a gentle no, she will listen and back off. Miya is a little nervous on walks initially but with guidance and repetition she will enjoy them. She travels well and hops in the car ready to greet the day’s adventure.
MIYA loves Nylabones, marrow bones, and anything else appropriate for her to chew on. She is not destructive in the house but having plenty of bones on hand prevents the gnawing on blankets or plush toys. She also loves a good game of bitey face with her brothers or sisters.
MIYA is ready for a caring, loving home where her forever family will be patient while she adjusts and learns.
