THE BOYS OF SUMMER are another sweet group of puppies that are sure to steal your heart. Born in June 2023, the pups are 13 weeks old & ready to go to their forever homes. All of the puppies are smart and active, though not over the top. You should be prepared with games, training opportunities, and / or dog sports for these dearies. All love toys. They eat their meals in their crates & have ridden in a large crate together for the ride to their foster home & to the vet without getting carsick.
PISMO (Male) is 19 pounds and oh so sweet. This beautiful boy is a black and white smooth coat with ticking. He loves a good play session with his siblings but also loves a quiet cuddle. A fast learner, Pismo will love to learn new things that will make him think as well as play & exercise. He might enjoy dog sports like agility, or canine scent work (aka nosework). PISMO will want to be with you, doing things together that you will both enjoy. He can also entertain himself with toys during down time. PISMO is willing to do whatever is asked of him and then snuggle with you afterward.
PISMO is initially shy about new experiences, people, and dogs. Preferring to observe from a distance but once he decides it is ok he’s all in! He’s done well with crate training, sleeps through the night in his crate or in bed with you. He doesn’t ask to go out to potty yet but he hasn’t had any accidents in his new foster home either. He uses his outdoor opportunities to go potty.
PISMO can sit when asked and has also learned to be polite by offering sits before meals and before going in or out of doors. He’s so smart and sweet, however with his brain and energy he is a busy body so training and playing with him will be best to ensure his engagement and development.
PISMO is started on his puppy vaccines, wormed, and microchipped. He is also on flea & tick and heartworm prevention. As a condition of puppy adoption, he will need to be altered when he reaches approximately 6 months (specific time to be determined by your vet). In addition to the adoption fee, puppy adoption requires a $75 spay/neuter deposit. Upon our receiving the spay/neuter certificate from you, the deposit is refunded.
