ADOPTED – RORY
Male, 4 Months 29 lbs.
Male, 4 Months 29 lbs.
RORY is a sweet and spunky 29 pound four-month-old puppy who will fulfill your BC dreams. With a beautiful red and white medium coat, RORY is a package of adorable fun and energy. This boy will want to be with you, doing things together that you will both enjoy. He is fast learner & is treat & people-motivated. As he leaps and bounds across his foster home’s furniture (we’re working on that!) he might enjoy dog sports like agility, or canine scent work (aka nose work). RORY will be willing to do whatever you ask him to do & then snuggle with you afterward.
Born in late July, RORY is energetic & smart, so be prepared with games, training opportunities, or dog sports for this boy to give him what he needs to work his little brain & body. He loves the water, immediately digging into the outside water dish and splashing about. RORY lives with other dogs in his foster home, so he is well-socialized to dogs. He does not yet have a firm grasp of housebreaking, but is close to success. As smart as he is, that should come together once he has one-on-one, consistent direction from you.
RORY sleeps all night in his crate, and with a keen sense of hearing and that BC work ethic, is up with the sun, ready for breakfast and to start the day. When the sun goes down, he is ready to nestle into his bed and get some well-deserved shut eye. He likes to play with toys and really loves to wrestle with his littermate Hamish and puppy friend Malibu.
RORY is started on his puppy vaccines, wormed, and microchipped. He is also on flea & tick and heartworm prevention. As a condition of puppy adoption, he will need to be altered when he reaches approximately 6 months (specific time to be determined by your vet). In addition to the adoption fee, puppy adoption requires a $75 spay/neuter deposit. Upon our receiving the spay/neuter certificate from you, the deposit is refunded. If you have an approved Northern California Border Collie Rescue & Adoptions Adoption Application and wish to inquire about RORY, please email us at Adoptions@norcalbcrescue.org.
